We are looking for a skilled Sales Development Specialist who can take ownership of outbound prospecting, lead qualification, and early-stage sales conversations for growing businesses. You will work closely with sales teams, marketing teams, founders, and business development leaders to identify potential clients, start meaningful conversations, and create qualified opportunities.
This role is for someone who can research target accounts, understand buyer needs, write strong outreach messages, and manage follow-ups with consistency. You should be comfortable working with CRM tools, email outreach platforms, LinkedIn, prospect lists, and sales pipelines.
You will not only send cold messages. You will understand the target market, personalize outreach, qualify leads, handle objections, document conversations, and help improve the sales process over time. You will be expected to communicate professionally, stay organized, and build a predictable pipeline of qualified prospects.
This is a hands-on sales development role. You should be able to manage daily outreach activity, identify high-quality prospects, book meetings, and support the sales team with clean pipeline data and strong qualification notes.
The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, experience in outbound sales or lead generation, CRM discipline, and the ability to create opportunities through structured sales development work.
Key Responsibilities
- Research target companies, decision-makers, and potential business opportunities.
- Build and manage prospect lists based on ideal customer profiles and sales priorities.
- Run outbound outreach through email, LinkedIn, calls, and other sales channels.
- Write personalized outreach messages that create interest and start conversations.
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads based on business needs, fit, budget, timeline, and decision-making process.
- Book qualified meetings or demos for sales teams, founders, or account executives.
- Manage follow-ups, nurture prospects, and maintain consistent sales activity.
- Update CRM records with accurate lead details, activity notes, and pipeline status.
- Track outreach performance, response rates, meeting bookings, and qualification outcomes.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to improve messaging, targeting, and lead quality.
Candidate Requirements
- Strong experience in sales development, lead generation, outbound sales, appointment setting, or business development roles.
- Good understanding of B2B sales processes, prospecting, qualification, and pipeline management.
- Experience using CRM tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Zoho CRM, or similar.
- Experience with LinkedIn prospecting, cold email outreach, follow-ups, and lead research.
- Ability to write clear, professional, and persuasive outreach messages.
- Strong communication skills with confidence in handling early-stage sales conversations.
- Ability to understand customer pain points and qualify opportunities with structure.
- Strong organization, discipline, and ability to manage daily outreach targets.
- Familiarity with email outreach tools, sales intelligence platforms, or lead databases is a plus.
- Practical mindset focused on creating qualified opportunities and supporting revenue growth.
Experience Level
Mid level, typically 2+ years in sales development, outbound sales, lead generation, or business development roles.
