We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant who can take ownership of financial records, reporting, reconciliations, and day-to-day accounting operations for growing businesses. You will work closely with finance teams, operations teams, leadership, and external stakeholders to maintain accurate financial data and support reliable business decision-making.
This role is for someone who can manage accounting workflows with accuracy, structure, and attention to detail. You should be comfortable working with financial statements, monthly closing processes, reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense tracking, and compliance-related documentation.
You will not only record transactions. You will review financial data, identify discrepancies, improve accounting processes, support audits, prepare reports, and help ensure that financial operations remain accurate and organized. You will be expected to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate financial information clearly.
This is a hands-on accounting role. You should be able to manage routine accounting tasks, support month-end and year-end closing, maintain clean records, and help businesses understand their financial position with confidence.
The ideal candidate has strong accounting experience, solid knowledge of financial reporting, bookkeeping systems, reconciliations, and the ability to manage accounting operations for serious business environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, financial records, and bookkeeping activities.
- Prepare and review journal entries, ledgers, reconciliations, and financial reports.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, payments, and expense tracking.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, vendor accounts, customer balances, and internal records.
- Prepare financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules.
- Identify discrepancies, investigate accounting issues, and recommend corrective actions.
- Support tax documentation, audit preparation, compliance records, and financial controls.
- Work with accounting software, spreadsheets, and reporting tools to maintain accurate financial data.
- Improve accounting processes, documentation, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
Candidate Requirements
- Strong experience in accounting, finance operations, bookkeeping, or financial reporting roles.
- Good understanding of accounting principles, journal entries, ledgers, reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Experience with month-end closing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and expense management.
- Ability to prepare accurate reports, review financial data, and identify discrepancies.
- Experience using accounting tools such as QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books, NetSuite, FreshBooks, or similar.
- Strong spreadsheet skills, including Excel or Google Sheets for reporting, reconciliations, and analysis.
- Understanding of tax documentation, audit support, compliance requirements, and internal controls.
- Ability to work with confidential financial information responsibly and professionally.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, deadline management, and problem-solving skills.
- Clear communication skills and ability to work with internal teams, clients, vendors, and external accountants.
Experience Level
Senior level, typically 5+ years in accounting, finance operations, bookkeeping, or financial reporting roles.
